In the heart of Verdun, the gardens of the World Peace Center are a unique place where history, art, and nature come together. This French-style garden, originally designed by Robert de Cotte in 1725, was carefully recreated around 1930, retaining its classic elegance with its symmetrical paths, trimmed box trees, and harmoniously arranged flower beds. To access the garden, a small stone bridge crosses the moat, inviting visitors to enter a space that is both peaceful and symbolic.

The tour is completely free and offers a civic itinerary that allows visitors to discover a section of the Berlin Wall and its history, reminding them of the importance of peace and human rights. While exploring the garden, visitors also enjoy an exceptional view of Verdun, offering an ideal panorama to admire the city and its historic monuments. Whether for a stroll, reflection, or to marvel at the classic beauty of the garden, this visit combines memory, education, and relaxation, making it an essential stop during a stay in Verdun.
