Church of Saint John the Baptist
Located in the Faubourg Pavé neighborhood, the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church in Verdun invites visitors to discover a place steeped in history. Built in 1884, it was severely damaged during World War I, literally cut in half by bombing. Rebuilt identically, it now retains an atmosphere steeped in memory, thanks in particular to its stained-glass windows that pay tribute to the families affected by the conflict.
Sober and welcoming, this parish church is part of Verdun's religious heritage. It bears witness to both the local fervor and the city's resilience in the face of the trials of war. Open to visitors, it also offers regular services that allow visitors to discover parish life today.
